Details:

On or about Sunday, March 6th, 2022, a major two-vehicle accident between a tractor-trailer and a Chevrolet Traverse left two adults and a child dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 40 in Carson County, Texas

Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said 43-year-old Jeremy Lewis, 18-year-old Benjamin Lewis, and an as-of-yet unidentified 12-year-old boy were killed when the vehicle they were in allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer along I-40. Paramedics pronounced Benjamin, Jeremy Lewis and the 12-year-old boy dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 40 cuts east and west through the southern edge of Carson County.

Multiple agencies responded to the accident to assist.
