On or about Friday, December 24th, 2021, around 7:43 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler claimed the life of a 37-year-old Little Rock man. Spokespeople from the ASP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 40 in Johnson County, Arkansas.
Troopers from the Arkansas State Police said 37-year-old Jeremy Kennedy was killed when the semi truck he was driving allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that had lost control and drove off the roadway, only to suddenly return to the eastbound lanes. Emergency responders pronounced Kennedy dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the collision.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 40 cuts east and west through the southern edge of Johnson County, which is about 113 miles northwest of downtown Little Rock.
