On or about Sunday, March 20th, 2022, sometime in the hours after dark, an accident between a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle left a 78-year-old man dead. Authorities from the area said the accident was reported along Highway 183 just outside May in Brown County, Texas.
Deputies from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department said 78-year-old Jerry F. Burnett was killed when the vehicle he was driving was allegedly struck by a pickup truck driven by Carl Alden as Burnett was attempting a U-turn on Highway 183. Emergency responders Burnett dead a short time after the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 3 miles south of May.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
