On or about Tuesday, December 14th, 2021, a serious accident between a dump truck, a worker on foot, and a tractor claimed the life of a 53-year-old Albion man. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported alongside the 9800 block of West Knapp Lake Road in Noble County, Indiana.

According to authorities, 53-year-old Jerry W. Jones was killed when he was pinned between a dump truck and a tractor. Officials said the tractor was allegedly pulling a stuck dump truck out of a ditch on the side of the road when Jones was pinned between the tractor and the dump truck. Emergency responders pronounced dead after the accident, but it is not clear if he died at the scene or succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to a nearby hospital.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 31 miles northwest of Fort Wayne.

Officials are still investigating the incident.
