On or about Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, around 1:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of a 33-year-old Indianapolis woman. Deputies from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Highway 31 just outside Amity, Indiana.
Officers said 33-year-old Jessica Lange was killed when the car she was in allegedly slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer that had slowed to make a turn on Highway 31. Emergency responders rushed Lange to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after her arrival. Police did not mention any other injuries in their statement on the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Amity, which is located roughly 27 miles south of downtown Indianapolis.
