Details:
On or about Thursday, June 9th, 2022, sometime in the morning hours, a serious single-vehicle car accident left a 48-year-old woman dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market Road 23 in Cherokee County, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said 48-year-old Jessica Sabrina Clayton was killed when the vehicle she was in allegedly drove off the side of FM 23 and rolled. Emergency responders pronounced Clayton dead of her injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Rusk.
Authorities are still investigating.
