On or about Sunday, February 27th, 2022, around 11:00 at night, a major accident between two tractor-trailers left one individual dead and sent another to the hospital. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Ranch Road 652 in Loving County, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said 53-year-old Jesus Arturo Ruiz was killed and 24-year-old Jesus Moyers-Torres was injured when Ruiz’ tractor-trailer allegedly veered over the center line of the roadway and hit Moyers-Torres’ tractor-trailer in the oncoming lanes. Ruiz was pronounced dead a short time after the accident, while Moyers-Torres was rushed to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 220 miles east of El Paso.
