On or about Tuesday, November 17th, 2020, around 3:39 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck sent a 26-year-old woman to the hospital. State Troopers said the accident happened near the intersection of Route 50 and West Line Road just outside Odin in Marion County, Illinois.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said 26-year-old Jimmi Rice was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly rear-ended the pickup truck she was driving. EMS personnel transported Rice to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
Authorities identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 62-year-old Sam Siddell, who was unhurt in the accident.
Google Streetview shows Route 50 runs east and west with two lanes, while West Line Road appears to be a single lane gravel roadway that runs north and south. Odin sits about 68 miles east of St Louis, Missouri.
State and local law enforcement are investigating.
