Details:
On or about Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, around 11:15 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left a 41-year-old man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along U.S. Highway 259 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.
Officials from the Texas DPS said 41-year-old Jimmy Williams was killed when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on Highway 259. Emergency responders pronounced Williams dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the incidnet.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about a mile away from Central Heights.
Authorities are still examining the cause of the collision.
