On or about Thursday, September 30th, 2021, around 9:42 at night, a hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer left a 34-year-old man seriously injured. Investigators from the NCHP said the accident was reported along Highway 301 (Pollack Street) in Selma, North Carolina.
Law enforcement spokespeople said 34-year-old Jobani Rosario-Andeliza was seriously hurt when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer while he was walking along or trying to cross Highway 301. The tractor-trailer fled the scene of the accident. Emergency responders transported Rosario-Andeliza to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
Police are still trying to track down the offending tractor-trailer.
