On or about Saturday, June 11th, 2022, around 10:20 at night, an accident between a pickup truck and an SUV left one person dead and sent several others to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 6 in Robertson County, Texas.
Authorities from the area said Joe Tatom was killed when the pickup truck he was riding in allegedly hit an SUV that was attempting to cross Highway 6. Tatom died of his injuries a short time after the collision, while both drivers and a passenger in the SUV were taken to the hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Lakeway Drive.
Police are still examining the cause of the collision.
