On or about December 10th, 2021, around 1:20 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and several passenger vehicles sent one man to the hospital. Spokespeople from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at or near the exchange of Southwest Freeway and Chimney Rock Road in Houston, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 46-year-old Joel Garay was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into several vehicles in stopped or slowed traffic on the Southwest Freeway. Emergency responders transported Garay to a nearby hospital with incapacitating injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southwest side of Houston.
Officials are still investigating.
