Details:
On or about Saturday, March 26th, 2022, around 4:49 in the morning, a single-vehicle rollover accident with an alleged drunk driver left a 16-year-old boy dead. Local law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported in the parking lot of K and M Foods on FM 1097 in Montgomery County, Texas.
Law enforcement representatives from the Texas DPS said 16-year-old Joelissa Hernandez was killed when the passenger vehicle he was in allegedly flipped while doing donuts in the K and M Foods parking lot. Paramedics pronounced Hernandez dead a short time after the accident. Another passenger was treated for unspecified injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital.
Police said there was evidence of alcohol at the scene, and the driver of the car has since been charged with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the crash.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
