On or about Wednesday, September 1st, 2021, around 2:45 in the afternoon, an accident between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 52-year-old Jeffersonville man. Authorities from the ISP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 265 near New Chapel in Clark County, Indiana.

Officials from the area said 52-year-old John Billman was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly changed lanes and struck the motorcycle he was driving. Emergency responders pronounced Billman dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 295 runs east and west through Clark County, which is about 100 miles south of Indianapolis.

Multiple agencies assisted at the scene of the accident.
