On or about Thursday, September 30th, 2021, around 5:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck left one person dead. Representatives from the CHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 74 and Mazie Avenue in Meadowbrook, California.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office said 51-year-old John Camp was killed when his pickup truck and a tractor-trailer collided under unknown circumstances at the intersection of Mazie Avenue and Highway 74. Emergency responders pronounced Camp dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the incident.
According to Google Maps, Meadowbrook is situated about 70 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
