Details:
On or about Friday, March 18th, 2022, around 6:35 in the morning, an accident between a dump truck and a pedestrian left a 54-year-old man dead. Officials from the FHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of 28th Street and 102nd Avenue in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol said 54-year-old John McDougal was killed when he was allegedly struck by a dump truck as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic at 28th Street and 102nd Avenue. Paramedics pronounced McDougal dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of 28th Street and 102nd Avenue is on the north side of St. Petersburg.
Police are still investigating the incident.
