On or about Sunday, October 24th, 2021, an accident between a box truck and four other cars left one person dead and sent four other people to the hospital. Officials from the OHP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 240 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Investigators said 45-year-old John Thompson was killed and four other people were injured when a box truck and four other vehicles collided in a chain-reaction collision. Thompson, who was driving a Honda Accord, was pronounced dead of his injuries a short time after the collision. The driver of the box truck and the drivers of the three other cars were treated for unspecified injuries.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident on I-240 was not far from May Avenue, which is situated on the south side of Oklahoma City.
