Details:
On or about Tuesday, August 10th, 2021, around 10:48 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer sent a 23-year-old man to the hospital in critical condition. Deputies from the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported in the 1500 block of the Houston-Harte Expressway in San Angelo, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas DPS said 23-year-old Jonathan Fortenberry was seriously injured when his car allegedly hit the back of a tractor-trailer in the eastbound lanes of the Houston-Harte Expressway. Paramedics cut Fortenberry from the wreckage and rushed him to nearby hospital where he was last reported in critical condition by medical staff. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the collision.
According to Google Maps, the Houston-Harte Expressway runs east and west through San Angelo, which is about 211 miles northwest of San Antonio.
Police are still investigating the accident.
