On or about Monday, March 7th, 2022, around 1:00 in the morning, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and an unspecified number of other vehicles left a 66-year-old Georgia man dead. Troopers from the ASP said the accidnet was reported along Interstate 40 just outside Ozark in Franklin County, Arkansas.

Spokespeople from the Arkansas State Police said 66-year-old Jong Choi was killed when the tractor-trailer he was driving and an unknown number of other vehicles collided in a chain-reaction accident on Interstate 40. After the initial collision, the tractor-trailer Choi was in crashed off the side of the roadway and into Dirty Creek. Choi died of his injuries a short time after the accident.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 40 cuts east and west through the center of Franklin County.
