On or about Tuesday, April 27th, 2021, around 7:52 in the morning, a single-vehicle box truck accident sent one individual to the hospital. Officials from the Minnesota State Police said the accident was reported along Highway 22 near St. Peter in Lake Prairie Township, Minnesota.
Troopers from the MSP said 29-year-old Jose Albert Medina was injured when the box truck he was driving allegedly veered off the side of Highway 22 and rolled. Paramedics transported Medina from the scene to a nearby hospital where he was being treated for injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary report on the crash.
According to Google Maps, Highway 22 runs north and south through Lake Prairie Township, with the scene of the accident not far from St. Peter’s city limits.
Deputies from the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of the accident.
