Jose Angel Herrera Castelan was killed after a dirt compactor overturned and landed on top of him at a construction site near Padre Island Highway and Austin Road in Brownsville, TX. The Brownsville Fire Department reports the accident occurred around 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The U.S. Department of Labor also reports the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has begun an investigation into what led up to, and caused the accident.
