Details:
On or about Monday, October 12th, 2020, around 2:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer left a 58-year-old man dead. The accident happened in the 400 block of North Abbott Road in St. Hedwig, Texas.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said that 58-year-old Jose Flores was killed when he was hit by a tractor-trailer that was allegedly backing up at a property in the 400 block of North Abbott Road. Paramedics pronounced Flores dead from his injuries a short time after they responded to the incident.
Police are still looking for the tractor-trailer, which left the scene after the accident.
Google Maps shows that St Hedwig is located in the eastern part of Bexar County, about 22 miles outside of downtown San Antonio.
Authorities expect to release the findings of their investigation as soon as they become available.
