Details:
On or about Tuesday, October 20th, around 1:48 in the morning, a head-on accident between a Chevrolet Camaro and an 18-wheeler claimed the life of a 37-year-old man. The accident happened about two miles north of Kermit on Highway 115 in Winkler County, Texas.
Texas DPS Troopers said that 37-year-old Jose M. Grado-Dominguez was killed when the Chevrolet Camaro he was driving allegedly crossed over the center line of the highway and collided with an 18-wheeler heading the opposite direction. Grado-Dominguez was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. No other injuries were reported.
Examining Highway 115 on Google Streetview shows a two lane highway that runs northeast and southwest through the heart of Kermit, which is located about 45 miles west of Odessa.
Deputies from the Winkler County Sheriff’s Office were assisting Texas DPS at the scene of the accident.
