On or about Tuesday, June 7th, 2022, around 6:00 in the morning, a major accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left a 21-year-old man dead. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 31 in Gregg County, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 21-year-old Jose de Jesus L. Izaguirre was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly failed to yield and struck the vehicle he was driving along Highway 31. Emergency responders pronounced Izaguirre dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about a half mile from Kilgore.
