On or about Thursday, February 24th, 2022, around 6:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left a 23-year-old man dead. Authorities from the CHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 5 in Merced County, California.
Authorities from the California Highway Patrol said 23-year-old Jose Robledo was killed when the passenger vehicle he was in allegedly veered off the side of Interstate 5 and struck a tractor-trailer on the shoulder of the roadway. Emergency responders pronounced Robledo dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 5 runs north and south into Merced County.
