Details:
On or about Thursday, April 22nd, 2021, around 12:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a box truck and a motorcycle claimed the life of a 24-year-old man. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened along the southbound side of Interstate 35 in Austin, Texas.
Department of Public Safety Troopers said 24-year-old Joseph Harrell Hayman III was killed when his motorcycle allegedly collided with a box truck in the southbound lanes of I-35. Hayman died of his injuries after the accident, but police did not specify if he died at the scene, or if he succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to a nearby hospital. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement.
According to Google Maps, the accident happened in the 6000 block of Interstate 35, which is not far from the exchange with Highway 290.
Police are still investigating the accident.
