On or about Tuesday, January 26th, 2021, around 7:30 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left a 49-year-old man dead. Deputies from the Centre County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened along Route 322 in Rush Township, Pennsylvania.
Investigators said a westbound tractor-trailer allegedly crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck a car driven by 49-year-old Joseph Heath. Heath was pronounced dead of his injuries a short time after emergency responders arrived at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured in the incident.
According to Google Maps, Rush Township is located about 90 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
Police said charges for the truck driver are anticipated.
