Details:
On or about Friday, December 31st, 2021, around 10:00 at night, a serious single-vehicle car accident claimed the life of a 21-year-old man from Milam. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market Road 3121 in Sabine County, Texas.
Investigators said 21-year-old Joshua Ebarb was killed when the Dodge passenger vehicle he was driving allegedly veered off the side of the roadway and slammed into a number of trees in a wooded patch a short distance off the side of FM 3121. Ebarb died of his injuries a short time after the accident, but it is not clear if he died at the scene or if he was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, Sabine County is about 169 miles northeast of downtown Houston.
Police are still examining the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
