On or about Wednesday, October 21st, 2020, around 7:53 in the morning, an 18-wheeler accident with a car sent a 27-year-old man to the hospital. The collision happened at the intersection of Highway 25 and Highway D just north of Bernie in Stoddard County, Missouri.
State Police said that 27-year-old Joshua McDaniel was injured when the car he was driving northbound on Highway 25 was hit by an 18-wheeler that allegedly turned into his path from westbound Highway D. Paramedics took McDaniel to St Francis Medical Center with serious injuries.
The tractor-trailer driver, identified a Robert Hatton, did not report injuries after the crash.
Inspecting Highway 25 on Google Maps shows a two lane road that runs north and south, while Highway D runs east and west in a rural area. Stoddard County is located about 155 miles south of St Louis.
State Police assisted local law enforcement with the accident investigation.
