On or about Thursday, July 1st, 2021, around 7:25 in the morning, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident sent one person to the hospital. Deputies from the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Highway 24 in Rossville, Kansas.
Troopers from the Kansas State Police said 46-year-old Juan Antonio Garcia was injured when the tractor-trailer he was in allegedly skidded off the side of Highway 24 and rolled. Emergency responders rushed Garcia to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was identified as 26-year-old Kaleb Toda, who reported injuries but was not taken to the hospital for treatement.
According to Google Maps, Highway 24 runs east and west through Rossville, which is about 20 miles northwest of Topeka.
Police are still investigating the accident.
