Details:
On or about Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, around 4:20 in the afternoon, a serious accident between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer left a 24-year-old man dead. Troopers from the NSP said the accident was reported on Highway 33 at County Road 1900 just outside Crete, Nebraska.
Deputies from the Saline County Sheriff’s Department said 24-year-old Juan Lopez-Adame was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly turned into the path of his motorcycle on Highway 33 from County Road 1900. Emergency responders airlifted Lopez-Adame to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 5 miles west of Crete, which is about 82 miles southwest of downtown Omaha.
Officials are still investigating the collision.
