Details:
On or about Wednesday, March 9th, 2022, around 4:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a cyclist left a 52-year-old man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 35 near mile marker 11 in Laredo, Texas.
Local law enforcement personnel said 52-year-old Juan Rogelio Lozano was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as he was riding his bike along or near the lanes of traffic on I-35. Paramedics rushed Lozano to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 35 runs north and south into Laredo.
Police are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
