On or about Wednesday, March 9th, 2022, around 4:30 in the afternoon, a serious accident between a tractor-trailer and a cyclist left a 52-year-old man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 35 in Laredo, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas DPS said 52-year-old Juan Rogelio Lozano was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as he was riding his bike alongside or near I-35. Emergency responders rushed Lozano to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
