On or about Tuesday, December 1st, 2020, around 2:15 in the afternoon, an accident between a dump truck and a cyclist claimed the life of an 82-year-old woman. Iowa State Patrol said the accident happened along Old U.S. Highway 34 near the intersection with 125th Street in Danville, Iowa.

Police said 82-year-old June Darlene Judd was killed when she was hit by a dump truck that allegedly veered to avoid hitting her. Paramedics arilifted Judd to University of Iowa Hospitals where she succumbed to her injuries after her arrival. Police did not mention any other injuries or vehicles involved in the incident.

Google Streetview shows Highway 34 runs north and south with four lanes, and cuts through the northern part of Danville. Danville is situated about 81 miles southwest of Davenport.

Officials expect to release more information in the coming days.
