On or about Friday, November 5th, 2021, around 6:00 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a school bus claimed the life of a 33-year-old man. Deputies from the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office said the accidnet was reported in the 1300 block of the Jacksboro Pike in LaFollette, Tennessee.

Investigators said 33-year-old Justin Huff was killed when he was allegedly struck by a school bus while he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the Jacksboro Pike. Emergency responders rushed Huff to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Officials did not mention any other vehicles or injuries in their initial statement on the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 38 miles northwest of downtown Knoxville.

Police are still investigating.
