Details:
On or about Sunday, June 5th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer left one person dead. Troopers from the KSP said the accident was reported along Highway 79 in Allensville, Kentucky.
Troopers from the Kentucky State Police said 33-year-old Justin Lambert was killed when he was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer while he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross Highway 79. Paramedics pronounced Lambert dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 79 winds north and south through the area.
Police are still examining the factors that may have played a role in the accident.
