On or about Monday, May 2nd, 2022, around 7:00 in the morning, a single-vehicle car accident claimed the life of a 41-year-old Bulverde man. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 87 in Galveston County, Texas.
Authorities from the Galveston County Sheriff’s Department said 41-year-old Justin Wilkinson was killed when he was allegedly run over by his own pickup truck after he exited the vehicle following a single-vehicle accident. Emergency responders pronounced Wilkinson dead a short time after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if he died at the scene or after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated on the Bolivar Peninsula.
Police are still looking into the cause of the accident.
