On or about Tuesday, June 8th, 2021, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer claimed the lives of a husband and wife. Troopers from the ISP said the accident happened at an unspecified intersection just outside Morrisville in Christian County, Illinois.
Deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office said 95-year-old Karl Aden and 92-year-old Isabel Aden were killed when their car and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified conditions. Both victims were pronounced dead of their injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance outside Morrisville, which is situated about 32 miles south of Springfield.
State and local law enforcement officials are investigating the accident.
