Details:
On or about Wednesday, February 10th, 2022, around 9:21 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left one person dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 59 in Panola County, Texas.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when he was allegedly struck by a vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Highway 59. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Panola County is about 160 miles southeast of downtown Dallas.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
