Details:
On or about Tuesday, April 19th, 2022, around 4:30 in the morning, a major accident with a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck left one woman dead and sent three other people to the hospital. Representatives from the NJHP said the accident was reported along the New Jersey Turnpike in Salem County, New Jersey.
Investigators said 23-year-old Kastarra Sha Quinta Lawrence was killed when the tractor-trailer she was riding in allegedly slammed into the back of a pickup truck and flipped on the New Jersey Turnpike. Emergency responders pronounced Lawrence dead a short time after the collision, while the driver of the pickup truck, identified as 23-year-old Corey McKonnen Duncan Jr. and two people in the pickup truck were treated for injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Carney’s Point Township.
State and local agencies responded to the accident to assist.
