On or about Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022, around 12:34 in the afternoon, an accident between a passenger vehicle and two tractor-trailers left a 47-year-old woman dead. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported along Highway 30 in Atwood, Indiana.
Deputies from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department said 47-year-old Kathy Harmon was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly crossed over the center line of Highway 30 and hit another 18-wheeler and a passenger vehicle in oncoming traffic. Emergency responders pronounced Harmon dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is near the exchange with CR 500W.
Police are still looking into the accident.
