On or about Friday, February 11th, 2022, around 11:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left a 60-year-old woman dead. Troopers from the ASP said the accident was reported along Highway 411 just outside Leesburg in Cherokee County, Alabama.

Authorities from the Alabama State Troopers said 60-year-old Kathy Roe was killed when the vehicle she was driving and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances on Highway 411. Roe was ejected from her vehicle in te crash and was subsequently pronounced dead of her injuries at the scene.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Leesburg, which is about 81 miles northeast of Birmingham.
