Details:
On or about Thursday, July 15th, 2021, around 8:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV left a 39-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man dead. Officials from the ALEA said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Highway 143 just outside Millbrook, Alabama.
Investigators said 39-year-old Katie Foshee and 32-year-old Donald Williamson were killed when the SUV they were in and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances. Paramedics rushed Foshee and Williamson to nearby Baptist South Medical Center where they both succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 143 runs north and south through the heart of Millbrook which is a short distance northwest of downtown Montgomery.
Police are still working to pin down the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
