On or about Friday, July 1st, 2022, around 2:30 in the afternoon, a major single-vehicle car accident left one woman dead. Spokespeople from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 59 just outside Texarkana, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas DPS said 27-year-old Kayla Parris was killed when the SUV she was in allegedly drove off the side of Highway 59 and rolled when it hit a barrier a short distance off the roadway of Highway 59. Emergency responders pronounced Parris dead a short time after the accident. Police identified the driver of the SUV as Zamanthyre Haire, who was unhurt in the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance south of Texarkana.
Authorities are still looking into the crash.
