On or about Monday, February 7th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a flatbed truck and an SUV sent a 27-year-old woman to the hospital. Troopers from the TSP said the accident was reported along Highway 146 (Short Mountain Street) in Smithville, Tennessee.
Law enforcement officials said 27-year-old Kayla Presley was injured when a flatbed truck allegedly veered over the center line of the roadway and slammed into Presley’s SUV. Paramedics transported Presley to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the the accident. Authorities did not mention any other injuries or vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Smithville is about 65 miles east of downtown Nashville.
Police are still investigating the accident.
