On or about Wednesday, October 6th, 2021, around 2:31 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car sent a 30-year-old woman to the hospital. Officials from the PSP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 83 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police said 30-year-old Kayleigh Holjes was injured when her car was allegedly pinned against a barrier by a tractor-trailer that began to merge into the southbound lanes of I-83. Emergency responders rushed Holjes to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 83 runs north and south through Harrisburg, which is about 106 miles west of Philadelphia.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
