On or about Monday, April 4th, 2022, sometime in the hours after dark, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 287 in Oklaunion, Texas.
Deputies from the Willbarger County Sheriff’s Office said 28-year-old Keith Agustus Francis was killed when the vehicle he was driving allegedly hit a barrier and rolled into the path of a tractor-trailer along Highway 287. Paramedics pronounced Francis dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 42 miles northwest of Wichita Falls.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
