On or about March 30th, 2022, around 9:00 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a cyclist left a 73-year-old man dead. Officials from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along East Stassney Lane in Austin, Texas.
Local law enforcement officials said 73-year-old Keith Culver was killed when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle as he was riding his bike alongside or across East Stassney Lane. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene of the accident. Emergency responders pronounced Culver dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southeast side of Austin.
Police are still looking for the driver and vehicle that fled the scene.
