On or about Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, around 7:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a cyclist left a 47-year-old man dead. Troopers from the TSP said the accident was reported along Highway 22 in Huntingdon, Tennessee.
Authorities from the Tennessee State Police said 47-year-old Keith H. Gazley was killed when he was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer while he was riding his bike alongside or near Highway 22. Emergency responders pronounced Gazley dead a short time after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if he died at the scene or if he was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from the exchange with Veterans Drive.
Police are still investigating the accident.
