Details:
On or about Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, around 9:00 at night, an accident between an SUV and a disabled tow truck left a 43-year-old woman dead and sent several others to the hospital. Spokespeople from the NDHP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 94 just outside Tower City, North Dakota.
Investigators said 43-year-old Kelli Hagerott was killed, while 42-year-old Timothy Hagerott and two juveniles were injured when the SUV they were in allegedly struck a disabled tow truck operated by Mario Butler, who left the truck in the roadway during icy conditions. Emergency responders pronounced Kelli dead a short time after the accident, while Timothy and the two juveniles were transported to a nearby hospital.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 94 cuts east and west through the center of Tower City, which is 150 miles east of downtown Bismarck.
Officials are still investigating.
